Stephen Jackman

I began my working life as a cabinet-maker having served a four year apprenticeship. My passion for clocks was ignited when I was asked to make some new clock-cases for a customer.

Then twelve years ago I started renovating the movements. I attended many short courses including four years with David Churchull.

At the age of forty I made a life changing descision to alter direction in my carrer. I undertook a full time course at West Dean college, at the end of which I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in the Restoration and Conservation of Antique Clocks.
